2022 New Year’s resolution: To remind myself to be present every day and enjoy each moment.

How have colleagues supported you over the last year, either personally or professionally?
So many ways. I truly feel like I have hit the jackpot with the PR team we have. It’s rare you have a whole team of people you feel so supported by.

Fondest memory/funniest story of working at Hearst: My fondest memories are when HearstLab founders present opportunities and challenges on our quarterly Scouts call and hearing how the various women of Hearst offer their expertise and network to support the growing innovative companies. Where else can you find women in charge of cartoon publications, high-fashion magazines, healthcare and financial data companies and lawyers all mobilizing to grow startup tech companies? It is such a unique blend of talent, spirit, energy and passion brought by the supporters of HearstLab across the Hearst organization.

Favorite candy: Brigadeiros. It’s a Brazilian dessert … essentially, little truffles filled with dulce de leche. My mom is Brazilian, so each bite is like a little trip to Brazil!

How have you provided support to colleagues over the last year?
I’ve tried to hold space in our team meetings to check in on diverse perspectives surrounding news of the day, giving team members an opportunity to express themselves and recognizing that we don’t check our humanity at the door.

What events or initiatives did you take part in at Fitch Solutions? What motivated you to participate?
I am a member of InspirAsian, a recently formed Fitch employee resource group for the AAPI community. Through this initiative, I have joined the inaugural InspirAsian mentoring program where I was matched with a senior leader within Fitch Ratings. I felt compelled to participate because it’s a great opportunity to receive professional advice from someone who was once in my shoes.
